- all modalities = same 2 things
all modalities = same 2 things
Hey ,
Most people say there isn't a one-size-fits-all process to healing PTSD….
They say:
"Everyone's trauma is different."
"Everyone heals differently."
"There's no universal approach."
You've probably heard this a million times.
And honestly?
They're all wrong.
There IS a one-size-fits-all process to healing.
But it's probably not what you think….
It's not a specific technique or modality…
It's not a particular therapy….
It's not some magic protocol that works for everyone.
It's something much more fundamental than that.
Here's what nobody tells you:
Every single successful healing modality on the planet does the same two things.
They're all just different vehicles to accomplish the same 2 things:
A release of trapped emotion
A change in belief
That's it.
That's the entire game of trauma processing…
It took me years and thousands of hours just to distill trauma recovery down into it’s simplest components…seriously lol.
There’s emotional journey and the logical journey….
You feel what you've been avoiding….AND you update the meaning you made from what happened.
Every technique that actually works is just helping you do one or both of these things.
The problem?
Most people don't understand the fundamentals….
They bounce from modality to modality, technique to technique, therapist to therapist….
Never realizing they're all just different doors into the same room.
And because they don't understand the fundamentals….they stay stuck.
This is why the ONE thing that helped me more than anything else was this:
I stopped blindly following protocols and started understanding WHY things worked.
Let me explain….
For most of my life, I just believed whatever I was told.
Doctors said PTSD was a lifelong condition? I believed them.
Therapists said the best I could hope for was "management"? I believed them.
Society said I was broken and damaged? I believed them.
I never questioned any of it.
I just assumed the "experts" knew what they were talking about….and I followed their advice blindly….because I’m just a guy with an engineering background, I knew nothing about psychology…so why not trust the ‘experts’ who’ve been professionally trained on the subject?
(spoiler alert: that didn't work out so well lol)
But then something shifted….
I started learning about the biases held in my own mind.
I started realizing that I had been accepting information at face value without ever examining it.
I started questioning things I had never questioned before.
And I adopted a new rule for myself….
Things are wrong until proven right.
Not the other way around.
I stopped blindly drinking the kool-aid from "experts" and started doing my own critical thinking.
I started understanding the FUNDAMENTALS of what actually creates change.
And guess what I found out?
Most of the information out there was completely wrong.
COMPLETELY wrong.
The stuff I had believed for years….the stuff that was keeping me stuck….the stuff that "experts" had told me was true….
Most of it was total BS.
"PTSD can't be fully healed."
WRONG.
"You just have to learn to cope."
WRONG.
"Healing takes decades."
WRONG.
"You need a professional to do the work for you."
WRONG.
When I started thinking for myself….when I started understanding that healing is simply releasing emotion and updating beliefs….
Everything clicked.
I stopped being confused by conflicting advice because I understood what ALL advice was trying to accomplish.
I stopped “technique-hopping” because I knew what I was actually trying to DO.
I realized that the only thing stopping me from healing was the garbage beliefs I had absorbed from a broken system….and the emotions I'd been stuffing down for years.
Once I cleared those out?
I actually started making progress.
Real progress.
For the first time in my life.
Here's why this matters for you….
You've probably consumed a LOT of information about PTSD and recovery.
Books. Articles. Therapy sessions. YouTube videos. Podcasts.
And most of it has probably left you feeling MORE confused, not less….right?
Why?
Because you're trying to piece together advice from a hundred different sources….most of which contradict each other….without understanding the fundamentals underneath….
But by understanding that you need to release trapped emotion and change the beliefs that are keeping you stuck….
This is exactly what I teach people how to do.
I don't tell people to follow my words like some kind of cult leader lol.
I don't want blind followers.
I teach people how to think for themselves.
How to understand the fundamentals so deeply that no technique confuses them anymore.
How to become their own healer instead of depending on others to save them.
How to problem solve their way through recovery using their own critical thinking skills.
Because THAT is the one-size-fits-all process.
Not a specific technique….but understanding what ALL techniques are trying to accomplish.
Not a rigid protocol….but the SKILL of releasing emotion and updating beliefs in whatever way works for YOU.
Not following someone else's path….but learning how to forge your own.
fundamentals > techniques
When you understand the fundamentals and become an independent thinker?
You become unstoppable.
No more waiting for someone to hand you the answers.
No more feeling lost because conflicting advice has you paralyzed.
No more blindly following "experts" who don't actually have your best interests at heart.
You take control.
You figure it out.
You become your own hero.
And THAT is how you heal.
So here's my challenge to you….
Start questioning everything.
Every piece of advice you've been given about PTSD.
Every "truth" you've accepted about your condition.
Every limitation someone told you was real.
Ask yourself:
"Is this actually true? Or have I just been believing it because an 'expert' said so?"
Ask yourself:
"What emotions have I been avoiding? What beliefs are keeping me stuck?"
Ask yourself:
"Am I thinking for myself here? Or am I just following the crowd?"
The answers might surprise you.
They definitely surprised me.
And they completely transformed my entire life forever.

P.S.
When I hit rock bottom with my PTSD...
I would have given ANYTHING for a roadmap.
A step-by-step guide that showed me EXACTLY what to do to heal.
But it didn't exist.
So after I healed myself in 18 months...
I built it.
I spent weeks in a tiny office covering the walls in sticky notes...
Mapping out every single step I took to go from broken to unbreakable.
Then I turned it into a 400-page workbook.
The Transfiguration Workbook.
It's the EXACT roadmap I wish I had when I was struggling.
